Mike, Somebody is hosing somebody. Or trying to anyway. #1 The engine does't have to be removed to do the head seals. #2 The cases don't have to be split to do the rings. Sure, it would be nice to have the engine in your lap to do the work, but it isn't required to get the job done. The times he quoted you aren't bad, in a matter of fact pretty reasonable. But I don't think he's going to be doing what he says he is going to do to get the job done. Ask some questions. Tell him that the job doesn't require splitting cases or dropping the engine. See what he sez.. |
