I don't know the answer to your question, since I've never been under a Syncro... But I just got through replacing most of the lines in my '85 2WD westie, and I doubt you'll be able to pull and re-use the line above the steering rack... if you can get it out intact, you are a better man than me! As far as I can tell, the brake lines were the first thing attached to the body in the chassis, so you'll find that the steering rack, P/S lines, shifter linkage, gas tank, and every other thing hanging under there will prevent you from getting a line out intact, or installing the new one in the same location. These have just enough bends to keep 'em from coming out around everything else. You'll probably best off with some lengths of new 4.5mm brake line (also known as 3/16", here in the US) and a good flaring tool. Good luck... Tim
