A couple of thoughts:

1) Hmm... how do those hybrids end up with MGP figures so much higher than regular internal combustion cars? I know! I know! Lots of people spend lots of time in stop and go traffic, driving under 35 mph.

2) Ancillary problems with alternative technology (i.e., cars not powered with massive V8 internal combustion engines) wasn't the issue. The flat statement was fuel consumption problems "cannot simply be solved by technology." It wasn't a "plan"; I was simply pointing out that the author may have overstated the case. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young Lafayette, CA 94549 ---------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "turbodieseltrooper" <turbodieseltrooper@SBCGLOBAL.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, September 02, 2005 4:12 PM Subject: Re: Maybe now is the time to fill the tank of your extra car or "parts vanagon"
