<<I find it interesting that with the tragedy that is happening in Louisiana, Mississippi, and the rest of the Gulf Coast states that you seem to always want to bring politics into the discussion. Can't you for once just worry about the issues at hand (saving lives, donating money to reputable charities to assist those in need, etc.) instead of pointing fingers?>>

OK. Forget about any political agenda in the aftermath of the hurricane.

Now I'll lay some facts in your lap.

There isn't hardly one opportunist on this planet not taking advantage of this terrible situation.

Case in Point.

A local Caterpillar dealer here just sent yesterday on 6 flatbed trailer's 24 generator's down to the gulf delta.

And right after that was another 12 semi flat bed trailer's with portable fuel tanks filled with diesel fuel to run them.

No plates on the trailer's, no permits on the trucks for interstate travel. ( each state has a road use tax plus a required permit to run on their roads. This has been over looked because of this situation.)

Now behind all this equipment and fuel is an outfit that specializes in drying wet things out ( the cash register is still running by the way )

And not only do I know the guys trucking the stuff down, but the guys that are going to be reaping the monetary benefits of this catastrophic happening.

i heard on the radio that an outfit up in Michigan is all ready to hit the road. You want to know what they do?

Restore Ante Bellum type structure's. No money here either.

Please try and open you eyes a little more than the squint your looking out of them from now.

Cha Ching is the word, and this is America, Land of opportunity.

Go ahead and tel me the Humanitarian exposition Bechtel, and Halliburton is on over in the middle east.

Who's reconstructing Sumatra after the tidal wave?

I'm sure there is a slew of do gooder's over yonder reconstructing all the damaged bar's hotels, resorts and homes for just a humanitarian gift.

Yea.

Right.

It's all politics.

It's not what ya know , it's who ya know. Don't think for one minute nobodies pocket isn't getting lined in this deal.

It's the American way.
