Brake lines are cheap. Get the tolls or have new one fabricated. The fitting are known as metric bubble flare. 4.3mm or 3/16 brake line works. The auto parts store have them in various lengths with the ends already flared, with the nuts. Connecting pieces can be used to add length and a tubing bender, (lever type) will bend them easily. The pre-fabbed tubes will save the cost of getting a flaring tool.

Hello Listees: Subject line says it all. I'm trying to do a quick repair on a syncro with two rusted out lines (one above the steering rack, the other above the transaxle). I have a donor Vanagon available, but didn't want to start pulling brake lines if they are not compatible. BTW, if any of the brake lines are different (rubber or metal), which ones? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Cary
