Subject: alternative carburetion of FI 2.0 Liter vanagon engine???
Content-type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

With all the recent expense for fuel I'm seeing loads of folks walking, riding bikes, roller blades, scooters and my neighbor is talking about buying a Vespa for short hops. Trouble with all these is winter will soon be here and as bad as the heat is in my air cooled Vanagon it's better than walking in the sub zero.

I've found a number of references to patents, devices, etc. that promise increased fuel economy for gas engines but most are simple carburetion devices. My engine is fuel injected so I'm doubtful any improvement can be gotten through these but am wondering about the kinds of changes folks have made to their fuel intake systems over the years on similar engines.
