What tragedy? You can bet your bippy that in some circles this recent turn of events is being celebrated as a fine example of free enterprise in action. If there is a tragedy, it's that for more than thirty years since his first glimpse of what lies on the horizon, the average, fat, self-absorbed American has done nothing to change his destiny. Perhaps worse than doing nothing, the sausage creature has provided entree to this disgusting situation by way of his mindless appetite for needless consumption and his choice of leadership. I think in the old days they called it avarice while being a sucker.

During the first Gas Crunch, I knew a guy who loaded up his AR-15 and buried six 55 gallon drums of gas in his back yard. Big deal. That was only enough fuel to nurse his Dodge van for a few months.

I guess it is about time to oil up the AR-15.

But don't worry, Rush Limbaugh will figure it all out for you.

George
