The tiptronics are electronically controlled and depend on their respective engine ECUs. So the Tiptronics only work with a 911 engine. Happy converting :-)

I am finishing my Vanagon conversion (Audi V6 TDI Tiptronic) at the monment. You can see a photo album on my old website http://kfz.freepage.de/rfeussner, where the V6 gas conversion is no longer uptodate.
