I very seldom make more than a 2000 mile trip so if I've got enough oil when
I leave home I've still got enough when I return home.
I just never needed a funnel or oil on the road other than the time I blew a
ring on #3 cylinder and I used a quart every 35 miles for 250 miles while
driving home on 3 cylinders at 35 mph. A nice 12 hour trip.
I think the reason they charge so much for ATF and Power Steering fluid in
small bottles is that it's normally in a bottle that you can actually use.
I'd be interested in knowing why the oil industry in general changed over to
the big mouth oil bottles.
The last case of Pennzoil 20/50 had the normal soda pop sized screw caps.
The last case of Mobil 1 15/50 had the big mouth caps.
