Nah, changing shift points leaves you with a 3 speed 090 transmission with a 
non lock-up torque converter that still only gets you 65mph at 4000rpm. 
Tiptronic is so far the only transmission solution I've seen that fits 
mechanically (though not electronically, unfortunately).
