Jonce give it up! Check the archives the lifter problem has to be either one or #3 on the most common Vanagon problems. Lets see, Leaky heads #1, Dual batteries #2, Tires #4 and lifter clatter #3. It's simply .006 like Bob Donalds says or one turn down like I say or anywhere in between that works for you.
