I insulated my 182b exhaust vent and can now fry chicken or bake a potato on the chrome exterior vent.If anyone is thinking of doing this, best to remove the frig and use dryer ducting and insulation, as all that free floating fiberglass roaming around the rear will be blown into the passenger commpartment.Also had to cut off some plywood to make this fit.Gotta keep it contained. That said, I am getting little refrigeration. I have 11 inches of pressure at the regulater as measured with a manometer, and have a nearly new orifice(the frig has been little used).The low setting of the flame by the thermistat,does not refrigerate(as is normal)but does produce heat in the interior.I believe I am getting too much heat on both settings. I suspect the thermistat is out of adjustment. There is a screw hidden away on this device that is used to adjust. Dont know about this, but I think this adjustment is allowing the burner to get too much gas,even with 11 inches at the inlet, hence the
excess heat and little refrigeration.Who need a BA6 when I have an out of control 182b for heat? Does anyone know how this thermistat is adjusted or have a number to the technical department of Dometic? Also, I removed the evaperator plate to install an interior fan.There is some brown adhesive or something that went between the evaperator and the pipe.When reinstalled, the evaperater now has poor contact with the pipe and Ice forms in this gap and insulates between these 2 components The ice causes a heaving, and further seperates the plate from the pipe. Any idea where I can get this substance that is supposed to go between these 2 parts? Mmmmmm fried chicken and baked potato. Hopefully with soon to be, colder beer. Roger
