Michelin Canada only sold the Agilis through Sears. Sears in Canada no=20
longer carries Michelin tires --- so they sent me to Green and Ross/Active=

Tire. They don't have them either -- they show as unavailable. So I looked=
=20
at Jeff Palmer's suggestion of LTX M&S --- they are on freaking back order=
=20
for 6 weeks. Along the way I found that Michelin rates the LTX M&S higher=
=20
than the Agilis. Follow this link to see the ratings:

The tire guy suggested Uniroyal Laredo AWP ---- saying that they're the=20
same tire, out of the same factory, as the LXT -- just a slightly different=
=20
tread pattern. I went to check them out and found they use exactly the same=
=20
rating system as Michelin (makes sense sorta, same company same webdesign=
=20
etc.) and they rated even higher then the LTX's. While this is not=20
conclusive it is interesting to see:

Anyway I'm getting the Laredo's mounted on Thursday -- $130 Cdn each.
Doug, Michelin LTX are the tires I had on my Westy before I put on the
alloys with those crappy Euro Metric Radials. The LTX's had about 75,000 miles on
them when I removed them and lent them to my bud Andre who used them for a
while until he switched to 15" rims. They are still usable and I may put them
on my newly acquires '87 Wolfsburg which needs tires. Anyways, seems
Michelin is having problems with stock on both the Agilis and LTX here in Canada.
Now, all that said I found the LTX to be a great tire on the Westy BUT if you
check the load rating you will see that the LTX has a lower load rating than
the Agilis. The LTX is just at the lower limit according to Larry's just
published tire document >

(http://www.roadhaus.com/Tires/Tire%20Guidelines.html) . The LAREDO's you found, I can't say anything about except I've
seen them on some of my customers Westy's. No one offered them to me during
my recent tire search here in Ottawa. As I said yesterday, I went with the
Vredesteine Comtracs which get installed tomorrow.
