A rose is a rose......
And a honey bucket is a honey bucket by any other name.....and so is a
portapotty.
*********
On the Alaska Highway ...... somewhere in the Yukon..........
It was a dark and stormy night ........ blacker than the inside of
Jonah's whale, and the water was coming down as if Noah was about to
endure a second flood.
And she called........ softly, gently, sweetly ........ I didn't move. I
lay there listening to all that torrent of water coming down. Time
passed. Again there was that call, and again ..... softly, gently,
sweetly ........ but this time with a bit more urgency. I still didn't
move. The water was thrashing in torrents against the van. I found
myself feeling some un-characteristic reluctance, when I normally
abound with enthusiam. Then there was a particular harsh torrent dashed
by the wind against the van. I shuddered.
That shudder did it. I was overtaken by a demon of urgency!!
I fairly leaped across the van in one jump to that thing just waiting
for me ......... patiently ..... perfumed, lined, so as not to spilled
a drop when it's job was done.
We must have made quite a scene there in the dark ... the bucket on
bottom, the board in the middle, and me decorating the top ........ I'm
glad I thought to bring that bucket along.
The lid was sealed, the seat put away, and I slipped back to bed in
the back of the van. .
*********
There it was again ... that voice........ softly, gently, sweetly
.......right in my ear .... "Now that you have taken care of your
business, will you please take care of mine?"
A Dark and Stormy Night with good in-house plumbing of any kind......
How sweet it is!!
