Many years ago a friend of mine loaded his car and was in the moving process. When he got in his car to start the engine it made a terrible screeching noise. I first thought it was the starter running on the ring gear and wiping out teeth. One more try on the starter and more of that terrible screeching. We opened the hood only to find a litter of kittens camped in the radiator fan shroud. They sure sounded like a mechanical failure choir as they rotated around the fan shroud. They all survived with just minor scrapes and bruises and lived at my house for a few months until they discovered greener pastures in the neighborhood.
