I had an old Cal 25 back in the '80s that was a great boat. Nothing since then though.

Wow, thanks to all the good folks on both the Mercedes and Vanagon listservs for the great info! Sounds like both the 300TD and Vanagon should be able to tow a small daysailer (sub-23'), at least for short distances), which is what I needed to know. I got some initial and subsequent negative feedback on the MacGregor boats, so does anyone have some specific suggestions for a small daysailer? Must be able to sleep four (2 adults 2 kids), preferably with a small head and still be light, maneuverable and trailerable.
