They are for adjusting the lights for a load. Loat the back of the van, the rear squats, beams go up. Push button to bribng beams back down to where they should be.

I have a pair of old Scirocco adjusters, just need to figure out how to adapt them to stock base T3 headlights...

Thay are there to allow you to NOT do this.

The ONLY advantage sealed beams have is that they don't have rustable reflectors. But optical quality of the glass is rock-bottom.

Those will be xenon lights (though boy-wonders and fools will fit blue-tinted halogen bulbs too, which are often sold falsely as "xenon"). Good halogens are just as bad for this. -- Regards Andrew
