As far as I know it doesn't matter. In fact I have been told at 100,000 miles I should pull them off, cleand them, repack them, and turned them around to distribute the wear.

I'm replacing my CV joints with LOBRO ones. Can anyone tell me please whether the one groove or the three grooves face the END of the axle or the inside of the axle . . I can't seem to find any indication. Does it matter? Are the three grooves there for no reason?

Thanks

Dave
