Well said Andrew and John you are right on the money. I am happy for the people that own Westfalias and indeed turn around and sell them for a considerable monetary gain even after using them for a while. For what its worth, unless a really good deal comes along, i can't see the justification in spending that kind of money for such a vehicle. Yes, they are versatile, offer lots of room, they are a way of life, etc etc etc (insert long list of positives here).........................BUT there is the other side of the coin also. We all have had to deal with the negatives at one point or another.........................head gaskets, electrics etc etc (insert a shorter list of negatives here). I fully am cognicent of the fact these vehicles are at their youngest somewhere around 15 years old and that any vehicle coming up to 15+ years old will need mechanical attention. Given all the facts, i couldn't justify spending as much money as people now spend on a half decent Westfalia. That's not to say i couldn't make good use of one if i had one. I know, i know, whatever turns people's crank, market supply and demand bla bla bla. I've said my piece. I feel a storm coming on..........................................let me have it.
