I stayed out of this one earlier but now its come up again. This time, Ken is somehow being tarred with the same brush as PTH. I don't know anything about PTH but have had dealings with Ken and have been extremely satisfied.

It's very simple. The value of your vehicle TO PTH, in that condition, at that time, was $6000. Big deal. That doesn't mean it can't be worth a different amount at a different time, or to a different person. For instance, maybe the PTH people would be willing to offer more after a physical inspection.

If you were somehow obligated to sell the van for $6k, then you would be entitled to be upset! But as it is, I don't think there's anything to be upset about -- just decline their offer. Laugh a bit while you're doing it if it makes you feel better. I would.

Remember, a VALUE is just what someone's willing to pay. The VALUE of your van to me, today, for instance, might be $2500, because that's all I have in the bank! I apologize if you're offended by my VALUATION but that's the way it is. Again, I don't think there's anything to be upset about.

tabe johnson/87 westy <-- the seam rust is stock, so it's worth more!

>My beef with PTH was stated in my e-mail and it still remains, I will >repeat it here verbatim so no one has to hunt: > >"Your website says "Click here to determine the value of your vehicle" >and "Click the link above or to the right to get a FREE valuation of >your vehicle!" it does not say click here to get a list of current >bidders. I am not going to start this process by revealing what I >think it is worth... that is not a valuation."
