long story short:

my first VW bus is for sale on eBay right now. I want it, bad. Its got a new
motor, but I know the trans is about 1 mile from being trashed (it has
199,993 miles on it when I sold it to the person who flipped it to the
current owner)

the bus is BEAT up, but I know it, and love it.

its in eugene, and im already going there next weekend. think thats the
universe telling me to buy it back?


the problem, is money, of course. I have an 81 westy that I love right now.
Im into it for a 100% new exhaust system as well as a brand new transmission
with a 2 yr warranty on it still. Brand new tires all the way around as
well.

What parts from my vanagon can I swap into my old bus if I buy it? any of
the exhaust, or maybe the trans?

the 76 is a federal model, as is my aircooled 81 vanagon, not CA models.

I have a feeling that if I let my love for this one get the best of me, ill
probably end up regretting it.
I dont know why, it just seems to work that way when you go on feeling and
not logic.

logic would tell me that it needs more work than its worth and ive already
got a van that I trust to get me anywhere I need to go, but I don't know
right now. im a bit frazzled and wanted to see if anyone had any input for
me...
