Odd, I was just having a conversation this weekend about how reassuring and homey that sound is... of course, the conversation was in a corner of a campsite, well populated with VW campers, so it may have been a biased audience. :-)

Sadly, my own prized ride was home in my driveway... sidelined with a failed starter. No problem getting to Maine and back the weekend before, but try a nice short run *within* New Jersey, and she wouldn't start after the dinner stop. :-/
