Likewise, when I buy a piece of computer hardware, communications hardware or an application that speeds up my ability to deliver a certain product, should I lower my rates to clients because I have bought and mastered it and therefore done it in less time? Does the fact that I charge more than my competition, which allows me to afford such hardware and software, direct me to lower my rates to be more in line with my competition? Should I charge less than my competition because after 35 years in my business I know exactly what will get results and what will not?
