Hello Fellow Volks Folks,
Just a quick note to thank everyone for coming to our 6th event at Buses

Thank you to everyone that worked so hard to make this weekend a
success! Thank you to our 2005 Gold Level Sponsor GoWesty. Thank you to

donations. Thank you to Caty Hirt for the children's activity bags.

The dates for next year's events will be the same as it has been in the
past; the weekend before Memorial Day Weekend and Two weekends after
Labor Day weekend. So mark your calendars for the Spring Burn Survivor
Car Show (500+ cars) and campout will be May 19th -21st 2006 and the
Fall Bus Boo Campout will be September 15th - 17th 2006.
As you know this is a fund raising event for people that have been
affected by a burn injury. The money we raise helps people get the help
they need after they are released from Hospital care through peer
support, education, collaboration and advocacy. Our programs and
services provide burn survivors and those who care for them, a network
of resources and opportunities for a happier, healthier, and more
hopeful life.
The fall event is our kick off to the fund raising year and it all
builds up to the spring event. Then we donate the funds that we have
raised at different Buses By the Beach activities at the World Burn
Congress sponsored by the Phoenix Society
http://www.phoenix-society.org/
This years World Burn Congress was held August 24th - 27th in Baltimore,
MD. And on behalf of Buses By the Beach Brien Dews presented a check
before a crowd of 900 Burn Survivors a check for $10,000. There were
many tears as everyone gave him a standing ovation. All the thanks go to
you that have been coming to our events, having fun and giving of
yourselves to make this thing work. From the bottom of our hearts we can
not thank you enough!
Wishing you many miles of smiles!
