Doug,
I assume we are talking 14" sizes on these tires.
If so .. IMHO .. Comparing the Agilis to the other tires is a apples to
oranges comparison.
The Michelin Agilis among others is a "Properly Load Rated Tire for a
Vanagon.
The 195/75 RR14 LTX M&S and the 14" Uniroyal Laredo AWP are not.
They both have a Max Load Capacity of only ... 1435 lbs
I believe the minimum acceptable specs for a Vanagon are:
Light Truck (LT) Tire
- Load Index 97
- Max Load 1580
- Load Range C
- Max Inflation 44 psi
Although its not finished yet ... Here's a rough draft of a page I'm working
on that
details why I believe the above recommendation is valid.

Hopefully ... Food for thought.

Subject: Re: Cdn source for Michelin Agilis
Hi gang --- Thank you to all who replied.
Michelin Canada only sold the Agilis through Sears. Sears in Canada no=20
longer carries Michelin tires --- so they sent me to Green and Ross/Active=
=20 Tire. They don't have them either -- they show as unavailable. So I
looked= =20 at Jeff Palmer's suggestion of LTX M&S --- they are on freaking
back order= =20 for 6 weeks. Along the way I found that Michelin rates the
LTX M&S higher= =20 than the Agilis. Follow this link to see the ratings:
http://www.michelinman.ca/catalog/comparison_6.html?tire=3D7
The tire guy suggested Uniroyal Laredo AWP ---- saying that they're the=20
same tire, out of the same factory, as the LXT -- just a slightly different=
=20 tread pattern. I went to check them out and found they use exactly the
same= =20 rating system as Michelin (makes sense sorta, same company same
webdesign= =20
etc.) and they rated even higher then the LTX's. While this is not=20
conclusive it is interesting to see:
http://www.uniroyal.com/catalog/comparison_laredo.html?tire=3D2
Anyway I'm getting the Laredo's mounted on Thursday -- $130 Cdn each.
Cheers and thanks for all the help, Doug
