FWIW The Blaupblaup CD72, MP72 head units all have the same logic at the interface for the faceplate. So... if the Los Angeles MP72 is what you want but you dooona like the assthetics, silver and all, you can replace the faceplate with one from a CD72 (orlando) or a Miami and still have all the MP3 CDRW SD/mmc card stuff AND the dual auxiliary inputs AND the Thummer Remote AND the nicely subdued faceplate. Or if you need to match that Blaupblaup America blue display use the Miami faceplate. Still works fine as the headunit provides the drive logic and data to the display regardless of Orlando, Miami or Los Angeles. Avoid the San Jose and similar non-DIN rear interface head units. No options with those. MP72 + Orlando Faceplate + MPD-01 + Thummer III is a nice electronics setup when also coupled with a HIT or other automatic antenna and the Automute feature when using the cellphone to answer plaintive wails from BenT as to why I had to do brakes instead of enjoying the companionship of my fellow vanagonauts in SF at Van-o-rama 05. p |
