I was talkinging with my father the other day over IM about having to keep my Boston Bob rebuilt under 55mph for the first 1000 miles or so. Back in '84, we had gone on a camping trip up the Zion, Yellowstone, Banff direction in our family's 73 Revcon. Somewhere about halfway between Jasper and Banff the PLASTIC governer drive gear broke on the transmission, so we had to drive 150 miles back to Banff at a top speed of 25mph down Icefields Pkwy, keeping as far right as possible on this sometimes narrow road, with a sign in the back window saying "Can't go any faster". Even with the sign, we got no end of irate jackasses honking and flashing their brights. Anyway, he said I should put a similar sign in the Vanagon, to which I replied that it already HAS such a sign: a circle with a stylized VW in it...
