Good day all,

didn't get many suggestions as to which radio to put in my Westy. One of them was the JVC KD-SX980 which seems a good choice to me. I'll keep an eye opened (ebay or local classifieds...) for a good used one.

But now I'm also looking at the new generations of radios that have a usb port or memory card slot...

I found out that the motor on my van (motor is MV 000687) must be a real 2.1 as it does have the oil sensor below the water pump.

Now my questions are: how does a 2.1l motor run with the digijet that was developed and tuned for the 1.9l motor? Is there a real benefit in running a stock 2.1l with the digijet setup?

Marcel, welcome to Vanagonmania. That 2.1 engine set up with the Digijet you have is not that rare and has been seen before. One of the interesting things about this set up is that you can now install a Eurospec, Digijet ECU which was used in the European market where emissions and CATs were more lax or non existent. The simple installation of this ECU will give you a 25% increase in HP albeit with a reduction in gas mileage. It does not read the OXY sensor so that circuit will no longer be needed. I have two of these ECU's in stock - ECU, Eurospec, Digijet, 025 906 021 E - $395.00 - from my _Vanagon Items Forsale_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/sales.htm) webpage. If your interested there is a VW Camper Camping event put on by _http://www.mononc-en-folie.com/_ (http://www.mononc-en-folie.com/) in St-André-Avellin, West of Montreal toward Gatineau. I'm going there late this afternoon and would be happy to meet you there and see your new ride. Should be a hop - skip - and a jump from Napierville. Cheers,
