dont really see what the fuss is.. its a 87, the seller states it is a 87, the VIN states its a 87. he just put the 87-91 in there to get more hits for the ebay search. as most people want a 87-91.. nothing wrong with that. he added alot of late model parts, nothing wrong with that, .. all of us are upgrading our vanagons.. im sure there is NOBODY on this list that has a bone stock westy or vanagon that they have done NO upgrades to whatsover.. my 84 sunroof has a full fiberglass bodykit on it and carat interior..plus a whole lot more stuff that ive added.. the only way you can still tell its a 84 is by the slider doorhandle.. thats part of the fun of owning these things..doing upgrades, and making them better. unless you are a certain business that considers upgrades a detriment.. LOL but we all know who they are.. :<)
