I've been through this before.  The 357-955-531 supercedes to a
1HM-955-531A, which supercedes to a B, which supercedes to a C, which is
NOT programmable.  I have not tried my alternate sources on this item
but I
do know that if you order this relay from Volkswagen, the one they send
you
will be a Fixed, not Programmable, intermittant relay.

Thanks George - I am looking for any little upgrades like this, to
improve from "stock". Eventually, I expect my "upgrades" to drive the
