It takes regular gear oil. I use Red Line Synthetic 75w90. Getting it in there requires some sort of squeeze bottle arrangement, I think. How it's done, I couldn't tell ya'. I filled mine the "easy" way, by tilting the differential assembly on its side on the garage floor when I had everything disassembled...
