Dennis I've never done the rear window myself but I have assisted in
doing the side windows.

Essentially the procedure is to:

1) Install the new seal on the window, estheticly you may wish to put
the joint of the seal dead centre on the bottom

2) Run a length of heavy gauge insulated wire inside the trough of the
new seal, so that it exits on the bottom

3) Press the window in from the outside, have a helper hold (but not
put too much pressure... that is, don't push) the window in place

4) Starting at the bottom, use the wire to lift the the seal over the
metal lip of the van's window opening

5) Go all the way around and you're done

The westy closet may pose a bit of a problem here, mine was out when
this operation was performed.
