I have full coverage on my 87 Syncro Westy... I spent $160 getting it legally appraised in 2002, using shots off samba, ebay etc.. to set it's value, plus photos by the appraiser. My Syncro is completely covered at a value of $20k. There will be NO arguments over what it's worth, when or where the time comes (that's putting the horse after the cart)... they pay me $20k full cash out .. I pay the premiums for that full value with fire, theft, collision & liability... cost me something like $1000cdn a year. Insurance is a form of gambling folks. If you are only playing the nickel & dime slots... you're only going to get nickel and dimed. When you put your bets down, you have to make it clear, how much you're betting on..if ya keep it a secret... it'll stay one... you'll never know what THEY decided to give you....even the odds... make it clear the value you expect (& get it in writing), before ya pay.... everything I have is covered with REPLACEMENT cost insurance. It only takes one accident to find out the appalling shock of insurance appraisal hell.

Full cover on my 22 yr. old Westy, 63 DC.

Tom-hope I never have to find out if they'll really cover what it would sell for
