Like you said, who knows... perhaps the advertiser on The Samba didn't read
the thing on condition... in the photos there is a clear hole on the
passenger side, clear rot on the nose and rot on the driver side. You would
think that if someone fixed the body work they would take new photos or at
least say something in their write up? You know the old saying - a picture
is worth a thousand words! At least the writing on our site and the
pictures that I have available don't hide anything about this truck that I
have for sale. Mine is far from perfect and a body man special - not hiding
that fact at all. I grew up in Nova Scotia (same province this truck in
question is advertised) and there is clearly a difference in mentality
between east coast, west coast and California rust. Visible rust and holes
is clearly on anyone's coast, rust.
Cheers!

Eh? I only drink beer marked diet cola w/o alcohol.
He lists condition as #3 on TheSamba's scale.
That scale (no pun intende) says:
"3 - Good - Presentable inside and out with some signs of wear. Not
detailed but very clean. Body should be straight and solid with no
apparent rust and absolutely no rust-through anywhere. Shiny,
attractive paint but may have evidence of minor fading or checking or
other imperfections. Runs and drives well. May need some minor
mechanical or cosmetic work but is fully usable and enjoyable as is. "
Sentence number 3 says "...no apparent rust and absolutely no rust
through anywhere..."
I did not bother looking at the pictures as I was not that interested.
Who knows, maybe he fixed the holes before selling. Or maybe the work
"rust" has a different meaning in his part of the world.
