it's nice that they blame the head gasket failures on improper maintainence. of course they're a bad design, but good pm can keep the blowouts at bay.

That the Vanagon has a weak manual transmission is news to me. In 218,000 miles it's the one thing I've never had problems with. The thing about Wikipedia is that we can edit and embellish this! Who has the time? Or the inclination? Donald Baxter
