Interesting thing. There is a recommended retrofit of the O2 sensor in Porsche cars, I think about 82-92. Originally they came with a single wide O2 sensor and the retrofit uses a 2 wire sender. The only difference is that the two wire has it's own ground and the single wire grounds through the system.
