<div>They were the same cars everywhere... including the Dasher. Look
at the wagons... the rear end was identical VW/Audi. Early models,
before the facelift (which gave them wraparound front indicators) were
also identical, except for the grill.</div>

<div>The fastback was sold only as a Passat/Dasher. The notchback was
sold only as an Audi. The wagon was sold as both.</div>

<div>Both Audi &amp; VW versions came in grades from rock-bottom (you
should've seen my 74 Passat S! Interior all vinyl, 1.3 engine, basic
as).</div>
