RE: Tires I'm here to second everything Ron Salmon just said, he makes sense. I'm also one that drove an '85 Westy for the better part of six years on the wrong tires (combination of my ignorance and a tire stores mistake) and can testify vehemently about the difference in ride and handling difference that proper tires make on a Vanagon. BTW, although no blowouts, I did have two of four of the wrong tires develop separations during the time I was driving on them. And being redundant here, but Larry is just presenting the data he has put together, not trying to advocate anything but paying attention to what VW has been trying to tell up for a bunch of years. |
