<<Probably not too many, but I take some not so leisurely drives down I-95 where I wouldn't want to blow out a tire! >> And I'm sure most all folks would agree with you, me included. But on the other hand, I for one found no benifit from running rock hard truck tires on my Van while cruzin' down the highways and by ways, other than making the suspension BANG while running over every expansion joint and pot hole in the road. I think the 8 ply ride is overkill ( except for 4wd ) and not condusive to the Vans suspension longevity, and my happiness. For highway use a good 4 or 6 ply, high end, water siped, tire is more than you'll ever need. |
