Subject: FS: 1.8l gas engine w/complete diesel kit for Vanagon install
              (Oregon) $850

This is a 1.8l VW inline 4cyl gasoline engine, installed in a Vanagon using the Vanagon diesel parts. I'm including all of these special pieces, already assembled, with this engine.

This means you get the engine with all the following special (and expensive, btw) diesel parts: engine mounts, mounting brackets, hanging bars, rubber bushings, oil pan, oil pickup, oil cooler, set of coolant hoses, coolant bottle, flywheel, starter, intake manifold, airfilter box, snorkle. And you get the gasoline-related items such as the computer, already-modified wiring harness, fuel pump and AFM (which is missing its cover, so I'd be tempted to automatically replace it).

I'm selling this because this is now an extra - I sold the van for parts and pulled the engine and transmission. I never drove this van around, so can't tell you compression, etc. Run it as it is, install a 2.0l engine instead - you can do it using these parts. I don't know the history of this engine, and can't speak for its condition. And, since just the conversion parts are worth this amount, this is an as-is sale (which I rarely do). IT IS COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED AND READY FOR PICKUP IN PORTLAND, OREGON.

I also have a complete, running diesel Vanagon transmission which I'd sell with it for an extra $400, or $475 separately.

And I'm still sitting on a VERY nice, rust-free '82 Westy with another I4 engine setup for sale for $4K. Pics are on thesamba - search for "CA Westy".
