I need the glass element for the driver's side power mirror for my '90 westy. I will start searching for local auto glass shops that can cut me one, but I might rather have a new glass + heating element.

The local glass place should be able to replace the glass on the heater element backing. I've had a few done here. Sometimes the heater element may get damaged when they remove the old glass. If they are careful this will not happen.
