has anyone on the list tried <http://lubecontrol.com/> LC20 and FP60. They are additives for fuel and oil. I've got a friend who adds them to his Honda and has been very happy with the results. That said I wasn't sure how it would work with older engines. The savings seems to be in longer periods between oil changes and improved fuel millage.

Dan, I would not use acetone in any vehicle as this can be very corrosive to plastic and rubber materials. Alcohols and xylenes work for most cleaning jobs and I will use acetone on most metals but avoid using acetone if you are not sure if there is rubber or certain kinds of plastics. I recall burning excess acetone in my 1974 audi some years back. It did a number on my fuel pump. gary Date: Tue, 4 Oct 2005 04:17:49 -0700 From: Dan Wohlers <djwohls@YAHOO.COM> Subject: More on Acetone

I was talking with my brother regarding the acetone discussion on this list. He said that he had heard about it and sent me some links to more information. Just thought I would pass those links along...

For anyone who would like to have more info on the subject:
