Mine is under the luggage rack...  ok well it's an XM radio antenna, and
every since I installed XM I've left my normal antenna fully retracted so
I've forgotten it's even there.

I did hear about someone replacing the vanagon antenna with (I think) a
mazda rx-7 antenna or something.  Anyway, it was one of those 12 inch long
black plastic things.  Looked better than the standard vanagon whip style
antenna.  Sorry I don't have a link for you.
