Guest made all sorts of claims about the conspiracy to keep the driving public from using acetone. I don't really listen to this show---just happens to be on before I go to sleep. > While I wont be running any acetone in my vanagon (173,550 miles), I am keenly interested in getting some "energized water" for my coolant mix. I remember hearing about it on same show/ different date. I figure this "power water" could restore 100K miles to my engine. > > Chris // 90 MV > >>On 6-Oct-05, at 8:48 AM, Don Williams wrote: >> >>Acetone is an organic solvent and has properties that are very different >>than gasoline. I'm not sure of the benefits of either yet but the two topics seem functionally different.

If you're someone who routinely dismisses new age stuff as BS the water thing won't be something you'll even look at.

A recently popular book documents recent research into water and crystal structures, relevance to disease, etc. Essentially the premise is that water absorbs, stores and structurally reflects emotional states and energies around it.

While the premise for acetone improving fuel economy assumes it can increase fuel dispersion inside the cylinder prior to combustion, at least that is a bit more straightforward and testable IMHO.

Considering the junk I've driven over the years just keeping good thoughts is something I've done as standard procedure.

; )

Since I'm currently driving an air cooled Vanagon even water full of positive vibes isn't of much help to me unless I'm just keeping jugs full in the van for its positive aura.
