After having a set of 8 ply tires on my Westy one time, and after replacing all the gold crowns in my back teeth, the thrill was gone. ( and so were the tire's)

Try the Vredesteine Comtracs, 185R14C, LRD @ 1764 lbs, 8 ply. They do not ride like a truck. Smooth and soft as silk. Just road my new ones to Watkins Glen and back and they are a great smooth ride on the interstate and side roads. I find them an even better ride than any Michelins I've had in the past. With these tires you can load your van and not be worried. Stable as a train on the tracks ! So, the point being your rash jump to judgement of 8 ply truck tires is another BS story propagated without facts or first hand knowledge !
