David, Looks like these are numbers for a Syncro? 2500kg = 5512 lbs 1200kg = 2747 lbs 1300kg = 2866 lbs So that would be a 48/52% weight distrubtion Seems about right to me. Where does this spec come from? Got any info on a 2wd vanagon? I'd assume the same 48/52%

Larry, That would be the front and rear axle weights, which are for a regular Syncro 1200kg front and 1300kg rear for a total GVW of 2500kg David Marshall Fast Forward Automotive Inc. 4356 Quesnel-Hixon Road Quesnel BC Canada V2J 6Z3 http://www.fastforward.ca mailto:sales@fastforward.ca Phone: (250) 992 7775 FAX: (250) 992 1160 - Vanagon Accessories and Engine Conversions - Vanagon, Transporter and Iltis Sales and Importation - European Lighting for most Volkswagen models

Volks, I've noticed something intersting in the Vanagon Weigh Data I've been collecting. http://www.roadhaus.com/tires/load.html If you look at the last column .. "Actual Weight Distribution Front/Rear" You will see that 67% of the weighs show more weight on the front axle than the rear. Does anyone know of a spec for weight distrubtion for a vanagon? This data would seem to indicated we might want to bias our front/back tire air pressures towards the front, if we feel our van is similary loaded. What say you?
