Hi Larry, I used it a total of once, and it seemed to work fine, but there is really no way to tell since really niether one has a gauge (the grill tank seemed a lot lighter when done). It filled VERY quickly. The hose was pretty pricy, I can't remember how much it was though. As for what I would do differently... nothing with the hose, but if i was replaceing the valve again I would have put a fitting to go the opposite way if possible (ie: run a gas grille off my westy tank). I'm not sure where on the tank it would have to go to get the pressure right.
