Subject: aircooled vanagon engine tin and seal needed
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
Hi all
im working on a 81 westi and need a few little things if anyone has them let me know.
-aircooled vanagon 2.0L Lower engine tin connects to the heat exchanger and engine case on passenger side under thermostat. also both front tins that
connect the lower tin to the upper cylinder head tin.
-Shifter rubber bushing. it goes in the Metal box that holds and houses the shifter coupling above the spare tire. the bushing i believe attaches to the metal box
that is attached with 4 nuts under the bus floor. i would like to know what it looks like and how it attaches. i maybe able to make one if i knew what it looked like
or the material it was made out of. the bentley showes a drawing but dont know how it attaches and how thick it is. anone have demensions??
- aircooled vanagon engine seal. different from the bus seal uses a pinch on compact windlace with a tail of about 1.25 inches. any after market source or is
100.00 the going rate? anyone parting out a 80-83 air cooled willing to sell off some parts???
thanks a bunch Jonce
