Thanks for these responses. I have no really succeeded at puzzling myself. After trying to clean the connections on that plug and testing for ground problems, etc., I noticed that the RIGHT side had spontaneously started working. The bulb on the left side appears to be burnt out now. But I know that this bulb WASN'T burnt out before, since both sides would flicker on when turning the switch. Well, I guess my immediate question is... where can I get a replacement bulb? Thanks!
