Subject: FW: 90 Carat Auto TDI Conversion: MPG ect.

Volks, I am considering using a Fast Forward kit and salvage later model TDI engine to drop in my 90 Carat w/automatic. Fast Forward shows on there site a similar conversion; late model Vanagon automatic with 1.9TDI dropped in and the owner has reported 30-32MPG. Anyone on the list done this: wasserboxer 2.1L w/auto to 1.9TDI? If so what are your mpg figures city/hwy? If this conversion gets anything above 25MPG overall w/current gas/diesel prices the conversion pays itself off very rapidly against what I’m seeing mpg-wise with the wasserboxer.
